Luxury Development, London
Pre-wiring and future proofing a number of properties on a luxury development
The developer on this project wanted us to provide a wiring infrastructure that would allow future home buyers to add technology, so they could customise their own systems.
We have now worked with a number of the home buyers who have opted for varying degrees of automation.
Some are simply equipped with a robust wifi and data network, some have opted for CCTV, while others have gone for the full ‘Smart Home’ experience with Control4, Home Cinema and Intelligent Lighting.
We are able to design systems in this way to accommodate varying budgets and requirements, while allowing the developer the benefit of letting the end user customise and invest in their home.
Wiltshire Home
A country renovation, with indoor swimming pool, TV room and centralised data/audio system.
The centrepiece to this renovation is the TV room, with a 75” Ultra HD screen and a bespoke Triad surround sound speaker system offering a true home cinema experience.
The centre speaker under the TV was matched to the width of the TV with all speakers colour matched to the wall.
Control4 allows for effortless control over the system with the client able to access Apple TV, SkyQ, Blu-rays and music at the touch of a button.
Music can play throughout the property using Sonos amplifiers coupled with speakers to suit each room.
High definition music is even playable through marine grade speakers located in between the ceiling joists in the pool area.
Bedfordshire Home
Beautiful open plan new build with multi-room music, 5.1 surround sound, Rako intelligent lighting with blind control, Bang & Olufsen and Wifi throughout.
The main living area boasts a 55” Bang & Olufsen (B&O) BeoVision Eclipse television on a motorised floor stand.
The B&O has been integrated with an external amplifier, some high quality ceiling speakers and subwoofer to deliver an impressive 5.1 surround sound experience.
Flush mounted speakers play music throughout the rooms, powered by the excellent Triad multichannel amplifier, which delivers music to the living room, kitchen/family room and outdoor areas.
The patio area is served by Sonance Mariner outdoor speakers mounted to the exterior.
Rako keypads allow the client to easily control lighitng and electric roller blinds throughout the house.
The property has full high speed wi-fi coverage throughout using a professional grade, reliable data/wifi infrastructure.
Central London Apartment
A remodel of an existing home automation system in the heart of London
The client wanted us to consolidate their existing equipment into a neater, more space saving rack. In the process we added some features to the system and improved the data network.
The client now has a single, easy to use app with control over music, heating, lighting and TV.
Control is via an iPad on the wall and a phone app. The system uses Lutron lighting, Heatmiser zonal heating control, Control4 audio and a 5.1 surround sound system.
London Refurbishment
The brief was to allow the client to easily access and control his home, and being a fan of Amazon Alexa, he was keen to implement voice commands on all of the following:
- Heating (Climate Control)
- Intelligent Lighting
- Audio and Video Distribution
- CCTV
Intelligent lighting is incorporated throughout this 3 storey London town house.
The system of choice was Rako, using a centralised wiring system. The client can easily change the mood in any room with a single button press or Alexa voice command.
High resolution audio and 4K video is distributed to each TV around the house from a central location using the latest video and audio matrixes. This enables equipment such as Sky boxes and Apple TVs to sit hidden away to reduce room clutter.
4K, discrete CCTV cameras are dotted around the outside of the property providing clear live and recorded footage both day and night – all viewable on any TV.
Control4 integrates all these services and provides simple single app control over climate, CCTV, video and audio throughout using a combination of ipads, touch panels, remote controls and voice commands.
The data and wifi infrastructure provides reliable and fast
coverage throughout the entire property.
